So sorry everyone for my lack of posts lately. I’m still alive and kicking here in Kentucky! We’ve had the craziest weather. Snow one minute, rain the next, 20 degrees one day, 70 the next. Got to love Ohio Valley weather! And of course, the Holiday’s put me way behind, along with the adoption of this little guy, who started his reign of terror with us on New Years Eve (if you’re familiar with German Shepherd puppies, you know this isn’t an exaggeration! Ha!). He’s been keeping our hands full ever since.

I have been able to do a little something since the puppy showed up. My most recent project was these Birthday and Thank You cards made using the Flowering Fields stamp set in this year’s Sale-a-Bration catalog.
I got the idea from a card set that I found on Pinterest by Kathry’s Stampin’ World. You can visit her blog here and check out the card set that she made with the Flowering Fields stamp set. They’re beautiful! The Flowering Fields stamp set is probably my favorite one out of all the Sale-A-Bration offerings this year.
This past weekend, instead of making cards, I went to the Heirloom Paper Craft Festival in Indianapolis, IN. This was the first time I had ever been to something like this, and OMG was it fun! I learned some really interesting new techniques (I hope to show you one of them soon), and got a lot of great ideas after seeing all of the sample cards and products from all the other stamp companies out there (who knew there were so many!). There’s apparently another big Stamping Festival/Convention coming to my area (Cincinnati) in August. I’ve already got it on my calendar.
So tell me, what have you been up to since the holidays?
I don’t know about you, but I love 3-dimensional projects and little things that I can make for teacher gifts, bus driver gifts, etc. So, when I saw these cute little Snowman Peppermint Patty gifts that my mom put together, I knew I had to share them with you! Isn’t it adorable?
Mom’s not a demonstrator, but she is my partner in crime. We do craft fairs together and bounce ideas off of each other. I just love being able to share this hobby with her!
Anyway, she was kind enough to share her recipe for this project with us, so here’s the list if you want to try and make these for yourself!
The stamp set used for this project is another brand, but Stampin’ Up! has a great alternative! The snowflake stamp in the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer Stamp Set would work perfectly for this project, and is a great multi-purpose set. Check out the Perpetual Thank You card and the oversized card I made earlier this year using stamps from this set.

Oh my goodness you all! The weekly deals this week are great!
If you’ve been wanting any of these punches or dies, this is a great time to pick them up, BUT…Yeah, there’s a but! BUT if you are hoping to buy the stamp set AND the punch or die it is still cheaper to buy the bundle. I’m all for a great deal, but I’m also about saving you guys money!
For example: If you want the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies (I know I do!) AND the Peaceful Pines Photopolymer Stamp set, you’ll save yourself $1.25 buying the bundle instead of purchasing the dies from the Weekly Deals and the Stamp Set separately.
If you want the bundles for any of these sets, you can find them here:
But like I said, if you’re just interested in the Framelits or punches, the Weekly Deal is the way to go. Sooo…without further ado, here are the Weekly Deals!
Last week, a coworker celebrated her last day with our company to start a new job elsewhere. I’ve only been with this office for a few months, so I didn’t know her well, but thought it would be nice to make her a nice card to celebrate her new job.
About a week before, I had ordered the Wild About Flowers stamp set from Stampin’ Up! It has some really nice sentiments in it for friends, family and coworkers who are retiring or moving on to new jobs, so I knew exactly which set I was going to use for my coworkers card.
I really like this card because it has nice clean lines, plus it’s bright and cheery.
To score around the image, I used my Simply Scored and scored at the 5/8″ and 3/4″ lines on each side of the Night of Navy cardstock.
Here’s a picture of the inside too.
Not a lot of supplies were used for this card either, which is another bonus! Here’s the supply list so you can make your own.
Wild About Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set
Night of Navy Cardstock
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Melon Mambo Cardstock
Melon Mambo Ink
Garden Green Ink
Night of Navy Ink
Melon Mambo Grosgrain Ribbon (discontinued) – Alternate Option: Melon Mambo 3/8″ Satin Ribbon
Fast Fuse Adhesive
I’m moving a little slow this week, but didn’t want you to think I had forgotten about the Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals. Here you go!!
I been so impressed and inspired by all of the fall cards lately. My favorites have been cards using the Happy Scene’s stamp set, specifically the one with the pumpkins. Some of my favorite cards that inspired my by post for today are from Tanglewood Cottage (I love her use of the beads!), and from Stampin-n-Lingers (just gorgeous!).
Inside the card, I put in a panel of whisper white and stamped the Emily Bronte saying from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. I love that this card can now be used for just about any occasion.
Here’s what I used to make the above card, though I will say, I used so many different ink colors to fill in the scene that I’m not going to list them all here. Just use your favorite fall colors and I know yours will be perfect too!
We’ve got four new items on the Weekly Deals list for you this week! Don’t miss out! My favorites this week are the Tiny Triangles Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Venetian Crochet Trim, because you can never have too much ribbon!
